Group Exhibition
Fortune Teller
June 20 - September 3 at The Red Brick Center for the Arts in Aspen, CO
I painted this image following a celebration with friends this past winter (2024). Paper lanterns were lit and released into the night sky, filling me with anticipation and hope for the future and simultaneously feelings of apprehension and some distress…that’s life in a nutshell!
2024 marks the 30th anniversary of the Red Brick becoming a community art center. While we celebrate our past, this exhibition delves into the theme of the future and asks what lies ahead.

(re)union
August 21 - September 25 at The Aspen Chapel Gallery in Aspen, CO
Before traveling to Bariloche, Argentina, in November/December of 2024, I decided to paint outdoors on location to celebrate the natural beauty in the Roaring Fork Valley where I live. All were made with watercolor and graphite. I think it’s the challenge of painting in the elements and being surrounded by the immediacy of nature that I love about these works. Most were finished within 2 hours or less, and the tendency towards sketchiness is also something I’ve begun to embrace, which better captures the energy of the moment for me.
In Partnership with the Aspen Sister Cities Bariloche Artist Exchange Program. The Arts and Culture Exchange Program with Bariloche, Argentina started in 2014, fostering learning, inspiration and long lasting friendships. This exhibition, “(re)union,” celebrates ten years of partnership and collaboration between artists from the communities of Bariloche and the Roaring Fork Valley.
